A home defense load would be one that isn't hot and contains a lot of ahot per shell, the object is more to stop and deter and not kill. You also don't want a miss going through a wall and killing or severally hurting someone in the next room. Having the same discussion on another forum right now. For personal protection, which would be to carry or keep in the car then you can't hardly beat the Glock or KelTec P-3AT in .380 I prefer the KelTec since it is 100% made in USA .
